What is the Connected Apps quota, and how is it different from my monthly transfer quota?

Connected Apps use your existing monthly Transfer Quota and are also subject to a usage cap. For each traffic dimension — Cloud Download, Downstream, and Upload — all Connected Apps together can use up to 25% of your total valid monthly quota for that dimension.

The three limits are calculated separately. For example, using less Upload quota does not give Connected Apps more Downstream or Cloud Download quota. Connected Apps usage also reduces your overall Transfer Quota, so the 25% cap is not extra allowance.

When a limit is reached, only Connected Apps are affected:

  • Downstream traffic slows to about 100 KB/s.
  • Further uploads are blocked.
  • New Cloud Download tasks are blocked, while tasks already running continue.

The official PikPak apps on Android, iOS, Windows, macOS, Web, and TV are not subject to the Connected Apps cap and can continue using the remaining overall quota.

The limits reset at the start of each calendar month. Extra Transfer Quota increases the applicable limit proportionally. For example, if your Cloud Download quota increases from 40 TB to 50 TB, the Connected Apps Cloud Download limit increases from 10 TB to 12.5 TB.

You can review usage by connection from Account & Security > Connected Apps.
