What playback limitations apply to videos inside the Vault?

Because the Vault uses End-to-End Encryption (E2EE), the server cannot transcode encrypted files or provide plaintext content URLs. As a result, the following features are not supported:

• Quality switching: Only original quality playback is available — switching to other quality levels is not supported.
• Screen casting : Casting requires the server to provide an accessible plaintext content URL, which conflicts with the principles of End-to-End Encryption. Files inside the Vault cannot be cast to other devices.
• Picture-in-Picture: This feature is currently under evaluation and will be updated in a future version.
